Mark Maggiori is a French-American painter, graphic designer, draftsman, musician, music video director and lead vocalist of the nu metal band Pleymo. In a few short years he has become one of the premier talents in world of contemporary Western art and one of our favorite fine modern artists.
Born in France, he was drawn to the traditional American West from a young age and now creates bold, vibrant paintings depicting cowboys, horses, and vast open landscapes. His unique style blends classic Western imagery with a modern sensibility, resulting in paintings that are both timeless and contemporary.
Today, Maggiori lives in Taos, New Mexico with his wife Petecia Lefawnhawk (the photographer behind RUFUS DU SOL’s SOLACE album rollout) and paints the American West full time. “I love to paint and dream about the good old times, Cowboys always represented, for me, a time when America was still a promise land…a huge dream for whoever wanted it, before corporations and plastic…”
