Artist Spotlight: Plastic Harpoons

Plastic Harpoons have sneakily become one of our favorite musical acts coming out of Santa Barbara. Recently signed to Lollipop Records, the group is comprised of Taylor Casey (Vocals, Guitar), Daniel Vasquez (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), Sean Renken (Bass, Backing Vocals), and Bijan Firouzan (Drums, Backing Vocals). The foursome’s debut album Modern World is an amalgamation of their 60s & 70s rock & roll influences, chalk-full of buzzing guitar licks and heart-felt lyricism that weaves its way through emotions of heartbreak, love, loss, and acceptance. It feels good to finally have a new band to be excited about from our hometown and we’re looking forward to what comes next from these boys.
