Creative Spotlight: Shay Latukolan

Ever wonder who's behind Jungle's incredibly choreographed music videos? Enter the dawg himself: Shay Latukolan. It's a special thing when a music video elevates a song and captures the feeling of the artist's sound in visual form. Jungle have always done an incredible job of synchronizing both elements equally and in their case, a major piece of that is owed to Amsterdam-based director, choreographer, and dancer Shay Latukolan's immaculate sense of movement.

Shay's distinctive style radiates through all his work in an organic, raw and theatrical way. Growing up inspired by film, particularly the works of Martin Scorsese to Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson, Latukolan tends to incorporate his love for some of the greats in his work. Having recently worked with major artists such as Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, and Rosalia, not to mention being sought out by some of the biggest brands on earth (Nike, Adidas, Pepsi, Amazon), Shay has become one of the most sought after choreographers around. This past year he won a UKMVA choreography award for his work on “Back On 74” by Jungle which went viral all over the world.

It's important to give credit where credit's due and Shay Latukolan deserves his flowers for his work in the space. Thank you for the moves and big shouts for providing the perfect YouTube playlist to throw on at the pregame 🤝
