Local Spotlight: Sweet Heat Records

Las Vegas house music record label, Sweet Heat Records, is making a pivot in 2023 as they branch into multi-genre releases this month. 

Founded by Las Vegas veteran tech house duo Flashgang in 2018, the label’s tracks have been steadily racking up plays on SoundCloud, working with rising talents such as Kaysin, A&R for Repopulate Mars, founded by Lee Foss. Today marks the release of their latest (and first multi-genre project) in partnership with Ingrooves, Universal, and Create Digital Music, featuring five Las Vegas-based singers/rappers. The project features an array of indie sounds, alternative R&B, and underground hip-hop, drawing on influences from drill to funk.

A promising look for the Las Vegas music community, the EP will feature artists Jag Gatz, L-Rich, Sailor Z, Floyboy, and Phillip Wolf, who’s following up his latest single with world-touring artist and Vegas-raised rapper, Dizzy Wright. The EP is officially out today and is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and more. You can also catch the crew performing their songs live tonight at 18bin as part of Last Friday.
