Throwback Record of the Week: Walk Dance Talk Sing by Crazy P

With the recent resurgence of vinyl, we’re hear to help you branch away from your basic Urban Outfitter’s selection and turn your collection into something you’re proud to show off when hosting your next dinner party.

To kick things off, we’d like to introduce you to one of our favorite dance records, Walk Dance Talk Sing by UK group Crazy P (short for Crazy Penis). Originally released in 2015, this record is a must-have for any true electronic music head. Crazy P made a name for themself in the late 90s early 00s with their eclectic live blend of vintage disco, Brit-punk, synth-pop, and quintessential house sounds.

This album will make you feel good, it’s as simple as that. Smoky vocal layers, chicken-scratch guitar cross-hatching, and warm keyboard chords create for an incredibly approachable, yet introspective display of sonic arrangements that will keep you coming back for more, years and years later. Not all disco is created equal, and this band has found a way to set their own bar that holds up on its own amongst the greats.
