Artist Feature: UMI

UMI (translation: “ocean” in Japanese), is next up on our list of artists on the rise. The 21-year old Seattle-born, LA-based musician has recently begun making a name for herself over this past year with her smooth blend of R&B and lo-fi hip-hop production. There is something effortless in everything she does, especially in her music which she hopes provides a healing space for anyone listening. She’s been on a roll already in 2020 having dropped 7 singles since February and an EP on the way this week, entitled Introspection [Out June 21].
